Oadby Plastics offer one of the largest plastics machining facilities in the UK, with over 225,000 sq. ft. of distribution and manufacturing space.
In 2015, after gaining planning permission for a large extension and redevelopment of their Leicester Head Office site, a 10 kW Solar PV array was needed to satisfy the planning guidelines on sustainability.
Following consultation they decided to increase the size to 250 kW to further offset their energy usage. They were so happy with the performance of the Solar PV, the company recently decided to invest further.
In 2023, we installed an additional 270 kW Solar PV array. The exported power level was controlled to remain compliant with the existing 200 kW limit.
75% of all power generated is consumed on site, saving on rising energy costs, while significantly reducing dependency on fossil fuels. At current energy prices the payback period on the new system is predicted to be less than four years.

“The collaboration and the design of the system was done with the utmost professionalism. We were so happy with the performance of the solar PV system that we asked Noble Green Energy to install solar panels on another two of our factories.”
