Hall Hunter Partnership – Premium Berry Growers
Noble Green Energy has been supporting this premium berry grower to reduce their reliance on the grid, with further installations planned.
Hall Hunter are a Premium Berry Grower specialising in the cultivation and production of premium berries including; Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries and Blueberries.
Fruit picked in the afternoon is chilled and packed overnight to be in retailer depots the following morning.
They have partnerships with many of the UK’s leading retailers including; CO-OP, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose, Lidl, Asda.
Over the last two years, Noble Green Energy has installed six solar PV systems for Hall Hunter Partnership over their Heathlands Farm and Tuesley Farm Sites.
The systems range in size from 32.8 kWp to 136.08 kWp and total 548 kWp, providing a significant contribution to the energy demand through the associated Meters.
Solar PV energy production is expected to be around 535,000kWh per year, saving 268 tonnes of carbon, equivalent to 94,970 HGV road miles or planting 12,030 trees.
As a result of the success of these projects, Hall Hunter have now instructed Noble Green Energy to install two large ground-mount solar PV systems totalling c2.4 MW; 1722 kWp at Tuesley Farm and 724 kWp at Heathlands Farm, contributing further to Hall Hunter’s significant commitment to sustainable farming.
